Every instructor at Rustic Table is a working chef — not a full-time presenter. They bring the rhythm of a real kitchen, the patience of a mentor, and the stories that only come from years over a flame.
Bread & Italian Tradition
Born in a Tuscan bakery, Mariana has spent 18 years coaxing life from wild yeast. Her sourdough classes are quiet, patient, and deeply rewarding.
Japanese · Precision Cooking
A former kaiseki chef from Kyoto. Akira teaches knife work the way his mentors taught him — slowly, with reverence for the blade and the ingredient.
French Pastry · Sauces
Trained at Le Cordon Bleu, Sophie turns butter, flour, and patience into art. Her mother sauces class is considered a rite of passage by our students.
Latin · Open-Fire Cooking
From Oaxaca to Buenos Aires, Diego has cooked over wood and coal for two decades. His workshops teach heat, instinct, and the joy of a shared table.
We don't teach people to follow recipes. We teach them to listen — to the dough, the pan, the season — and trust what they hear.
I signed up for one sourdough class and ended up staying for the whole season. Mariana taught me to listen to my dough, not just follow a timer. My kitchen has never felt more like home.
Diego's open-fire workshop was magic. Small group, real questions, and the most honest ribeye I have ever cooked. I keep going back to his notes every weekend.
Our weekly meal plan used to be a fight. Now it is a ritual. The shopping lists alone saved us hours, and our grocery bill dropped by a third.
Akira spent two hours with me and changed how I hold a knife. Simple, patient, no ego. I finally feel like I know what I am doing at the cutting board.
We hired Rustic Table to redesign our café's seasonal menu. They understood our identity and delivered dishes our team can actually execute on a busy night.
Finally, healthy food that does not taste like a punishment. The guides are warm, practical, and full of ideas I actually want to cook on a Tuesday night.
I joined a pasta workshop with my sister from three countries away. We laughed, we messed up, and we made the best ravioli of our lives. Pure joy.
I never imagined online classes could feel so personal. Every session gave me more confidence, and my family now asks me to cook every Sunday.
The instructors explain everything step by step without rushing. It feels more like cooking with friends than attending a class.
Every live class happens over a private video call — we use a stable, high-quality platform so you can see every fold of the dough and hear every sizzle. You will receive a Zoom link, a prep checklist, and a shopping list at least 48 hours before class. Small groups (8 to 12 people) mean the chef can actually see your cutting board and answer your questions in real time.
A stove, a cutting board, a sharp knife, and a few basic bowls. That is it for 90% of our classes. For specialty workshops — like sourdough or handmade pasta — we will send a short list of nice-to-have tools (a bench scraper, a rolling pin) and always offer household substitutes so you never feel stuck.
Life happens — we get it. You can reschedule any live class for free up to 48 hours before it starts. Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance receive a full refund. Between 48 and 72 hours, we offer a credit valid for 6 months. Less than 48 hours before class, the seat is non-refundable, but you can transfer it to a friend.
Absolutely. Most of our students started exactly where you are. Look for the "Beginner" or "All Levels" tag on any class listing. Our "Kitchen Confidence" series is designed specifically for people who have never cooked beyond pasta and toast — and it is one of our most popular programs.
Yes — and it is one of our favorite things to send out. Gift cards are delivered by email within minutes, with a printable card you can personalize. They are valid for 12 months and can be applied to any class, workshop, or digital recipe collection on the site. No expiry surprises.
Every student receives a beautifully formatted PDF of the recipe within 24 hours — including the chef's notes, substitutions, and plating tips. You will also get access to our student-only recipe library where past classes are archived, so you can revisit the techniques whenever you like.
Yes. Every live session is recorded and made available to participants for 30 days after the class. You can pause, rewind, and rewatch the tricky parts at your own pace. We do not share recordings publicly — they are yours alone as a student of the class.
Always. When you book, you can tell us about allergies, intolerances, or preferences (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free). The chef will prepare tested substitutions in advance and walk you through them during class. For private coaching, we can build the entire session around your needs.
